MY STORY
I am a proud Old Apostolic Member and as a woman I love hats, but always had a problem to find an affordable place to buy. In the boutiques you would have to pay an arm and a leg and then the hat does not always fits and also not the correct colors that I wanted. As all my family and friends would then tell me, you are so creative, why not make your own hats?
This is where my story started. I looked and asked around for someone to teach me the skill of hat making or "millinery skills" and found someone very special, who was prepared to teach me. I went for a weekend and this was how I started and this was 2 years ago.
My only two goals was to never make a duplicate hat ever, as I feel that a hat is unique and the person wearing it should feel special. I have made in the past, two of a kind hats for clients (Mother and daughter) that looks the same, but believe me, I will always put something different in every hat, so that no two hats ever looks the same.
My second goal was to make it affordable, so that every person would be able to afford a hat and that is why I quote every client separately and for some, according to their circumstances, I have a “pay it off “ plan.
My motto is not to make money but to have clients for life that is happy with the end product and always will return because they feel special and the hat fits perfectly.
I also do pillbox hats, double brim hats and square hats. Then I also take an old/damage hat and do repairs on them, I call it my re-vamp hats for half of the price and when I'm done, it looks like a new hat.
I also like new challenges and my clients would often send me photos of hats that they would like me to try to make and I am always up for a challenge!!!
